Kids are our future, and we want to see them become good leaders.
For Teri Lozano, working at AT&T runs in the family. She's worked there for 22 years, following in the footsteps of three aunts, who spent their careers at AT&T.
Teri works as a customer service representative focused on large accounts for the State of Texas. Beyond her job description, Teri also serves her community through the AT&T Pioneer Network, which rallies AT&T employees and retirees around charitable causes. She focuses much of her volunteer time on fundraisers and charitable drives for a local school. The school supplies and holiday gift certificates they donate go a long way toward helping students succeed at the school.
“The school is in a low income area and the kids need the help,” said Teri. “Just to see the expressions on their faces when they get our care packages is a real thrill. It’s about supporting the local community. Kids are our future and we want to see them become good leaders. If we give back now to help them, maybe in the future they will give back to the next generation.”
Teri also delivers Meals On Wheels to the elderly. She enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren, as well as sewing quilts and clothes for her granddaughter’s dolls. Her friend, Eva Garza Alamia, is joining her on the cruise.
