What is more important than our children? If we can be attentive, serve as a role model, and provide the safety and love they need, they will reward our efforts a thousand times over through lives well lived.
Sherry is a teacher, but her love for children extends far beyond the classroom. She was active for many years with the Save the Children Foundation and sponsored a young girl in Kentucky. That one girl turned into three siblings, and then a community.
Most recently, Sherry became involved with orphanages in Eastern Europe, primarily Romania. She has organized fund drives to sponsor trips for herself and others because there are simply not enough people or money to care for these infants. Sherry brings love, understanding, and a wise spirit to the task. She helps tend the infants for several weeks, rocking, feeding, and changing them and providing the interaction and stimulation they so desperately need.
