Roberta MacDonald
Chief Gratitude Officer
Roberta operates as the high-energy composer and conductor of Cabot's Marketing orchestra. She has been with Cabot and the farm families since 1988 and loves the farmers almost as much as her own children, family and the Cabot marketing team. (Can you guess who on board is her sister?)
She's plied her imagination and program ideas for the San Francisco Opera, NYU, and the National Endowment for the Arts, among others, and was instrumental in the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Washington, D.C. Through a series of serendipitous events, the dedication is what brought Roberta to Vermont in the first place.
Roberta grew up as an Army brat and spent much of her youth making new friends every year in a different city inside and outside the United States. As Cabot’s Marketing SVP, she conceived of the Cabot Community Celebrity Cruise as well as the other programs in our Gratitude Department because she believes strongly that we need to do marketing differently as a cooperative and a B Corp. "We honor and replicate our farmers volunteer service in their communities with our brand programs designed to honor volunteers in the communities where our farmers’ dairy products are sold. This commitment to community is our testament to Co-op principle #7 – Concern for Community. We honor those who buy our cheese and just maybe, redefine what true Celebrity means.” Aka: Berta will want to know more about why you do what you do for others and how to express our farmers' gratitude to more good, good people just like you.
