It’s important to keep history alive. I love working to restore these remarkable historic sites.
Peter had a career with the National Park Service. As an avid historian, his love of national historic sites runs deep, and since his retirement, he has continued restoring important landmarks across the state.
Among other projects, Peter is currently working to restore Pioneer Village in Salem, which is under the management of Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. This is a ten-acre, twelve-building site established initially in 1930 to create a historic model of Salem, the way the settlement looked in 1630. After it fell into disrepair, Peter brought his expertise to the college to bring it back to its past glory.
