I was initially drafted by my mother-in-law to help out at Lorraine’s soup kitchen in Chicopee. Ten years later, I’m still there three days a week doing what I can.
About ten years ago, Lynn started helping out at Lorraine's soup kitchen. This turned into a three-day-a-week affair, with Lynn doing whatever needs to be done . . . serving, cleaning, preparing, and just helping the neediest among us.
Lynn is also active with the American Cancer Society, where she is the chairperson for the Society's annual Relay for Life in ChicopeeChicopee. Being the chairperson means she has to organize the event, direct the activities of the many sub-committees, arrange food and logistics, and get media coverage. And as if that weren't enough, Lynn helps arrange silent auctions and is involved in fundraising for the Forest Park Zoo.
