Katie is a lifelong volunteer who has also made volunteer engagement and nonprofit leadership her living. She's a native Chicagoan, passionate about her city's history and potential and she's serious about being part of community change.
As the Senior Director of Corporate & Community Engagement for iMentor Chicago, Katie leads mentor recruitment and engagement and corporate partnership strategy to ensure that more Chicago students have a personal champion to help them on the path to college. Prior to joining iMentor, Katie served in leadership roles at HandsOn Network (part of Points of Light) and Chicago Cares, where she led corporate employee engagement and large-scale volunteer events. So really, her career has been about sparking a volunteer spirit in people and providing a pathway to active citizenship, whatever service passion someone chooses to pursue.
She sits on the board of Break Away and is an active volunteer with several other organizations, including volunteering with her golden retriever to serve as a dog team for SitStayRead. Katie holds a degree in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
