We invited two of the super powers of Give Kids The World Village to join us so we could hear from the best in order to connect the best. First Kathleen Tagle brings more than 30 years of marketing experience to the Cabot Cruise, having worked for such industry leaders as Disney, NBC Universal, and MMGY Global. Her staff will also tell you she laughs a lot – and loudly.
Currently the Chief Strategy Officer with Give Kids The World Village, Kathleen’s focus is on guiding the brand of the children’s nonprofit and on building a battalion of supporters willing to donate to, volunteer for, and advocate on behalf of the organization. Kathleen came to Give Kids The World Village a little more than two years ago, drawn by the opportunity to work for an organization that every day makes a difference in the lives of children battling life-threatening illnesses. She is a “big-picture” thinker who challenges her staff to, “Stop the madness!” when she sees processes or methods that can be improved. Kathleen grew up in Needham, MA, but left the cold weather behind to attend Jacksonville University. She loves to travel and has a soft spot for puppies. She lives in Winter Park and Ponte Vedra, FL.
Taberi Scott is an accomplished human resources professional with more than 25 years of experience. She has been with Give Kids The World Village for almost a decade, responsible for all human resources and employee benefits programs. As Chief People Officer, she also oversees the Village’s Volunteer Services program, which fills 1,800 shifts a week and is thought to be the biggest, single-site volunteer operation in the country.
She regularly reminds employees to, whenever possible, get up from their desks and spend time outside with visiting families. Those small, quiet moments, she says, are great reminders of the good the Village does for seriously ill children and their families. Taberi has an MBA and a B.S. from Western Governors University. She loves to golf, spoils her two Westies, and has a passion for mini donuts.
