I volunteer to share all that I have been given. I am fueled by the good works of the women in my group and by the impact we see in our community by joining together our time, talents and resources.
Karen Gillman is a proud resident of Plant City, Florida (the city where Cabot Creamery Co-operative regained the Guinness Record for the World’s Largest Smoothie in March)! She is a wife of 17 years, and mother of a 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son.
Karen is owner and Vice President of On Point Executive Center, Inc. a business services company that serves roughly 300 small businesses and non-profits. She also serves many organizations in her community, including as co-founder of Charity Chics, owner of After the Band, and treasurer of the non-profit Fulfill Your Destiny, which was started by Karen Mertes, one of our 2017 Community Celebrities. In addition, she is an ambassador for Working Women of Tampa Bay, a board member of Network of Executive Women, and an advisory board member of Apollo Endosurgery.
Karen is a graduate of Framingham State College, a published author and has lived on both the west and east coast. She is monthly blog contributor and loves all things creative, crafty, and digital. She is proud to serve her community through volunteerism delivered with passion and purpose.
She will be travelling with Charity Chics member and volunteer Jessica Santiago. Jessica is a devoted wife of 10 years, loving mother of two energetic baseball fanatic boys, and employee at On Point Executive Center. She is a member of the Tampa Salvation Army’s Women’s Auxiliary Group and supports Fulfill Your Destiny, Dress for Success, Aaron’s House and other Tampa area charities.
Like Karen, Jessica is committed to ensuring Charity Chics is a way for people to “connect for a cause”. We hope they will connect with all the Cabot Community Celebrities and deliver helpful hints to improve networking skills.
