Denise lives in a large complex with about 120 apartments. Many of the residents are elderly, disabled, or have modest incomes. They are proud people who have worked all their lives, but it is hard for many to make ends meet. Denise quietly and without fuss began a food drive and basic necessities campaign for her friends and neighbors. She collected canned goods, non-perishable food products, and other necessities, and she then made them available in the large Community Center in the complex. No questions asked. Just take what you need and leave the rest.
Over the past couple of years, others have joined her. She collects food, toiletries, books for children, clothing, and other essentials for the people In her complex. Says Denise, "If we all just pitch in a little bit, together we can help a lot."
