Meet Dana Swinney – Cabot’s beloved Media Whisperer. Dana has worked closely with Cabot for more than a decade and is best known for her unique skills that make media want to cover your story.
Dana began working in public relations and marketing in 2000 and honed her media pitching skills for some of the nation’s top Fortune 500 brands. She started her own consulting company in 2006. That is when Cabot discovered her amazing media skills. Her results-driven approach has led to countless media placements for dozens of Cabot programs and products. While she is well-known and highly respected among her peers and the media, we like to think of her as our best kept secret for garnering outstanding news coverage.
An avid volunteer, Dana and her family have been active supporters of the Salvation Army and numerous soup kitchens and food pantries for many years. “Volunteering has always been important to me,” Dana said. “Most of us are just one life event from needing assistance of some kind, it is our duty as humans to help other souls in need. When I first began volunteering, the biggest surprise to me was how much I received from the experience, when my only goal was to give to those in need. Volunteering is very humbling yet very rewarding.”
