Watching a child grow and learn the big lessons in life beyond reading and math -- helping them learn about honesty, courage, and fairness is very important to me.
Cindy Kollias is using her past to help steer the next generation down the right path. She has seen tough times, and learned from them, and works diligently to create grounded opportunities for kids to succeed.
“Watching a child grow and learn the big lessons in life beyond reading and math -- helping them learn about honesty, courage, and fairness is very important to me,” said Cindy. “I do it out of my love and desire to build a stronger community.”
Cindy volunteers at her local school by assisting children with special needs. She also serves on the PTA at her daughter’s school. She likes to lend a hand wherever it is needed in support of the students. She also spends time volunteering with Girl Scouts of America, encouraging girls to get outside, whether for camping or to help improve their community through volunteer service.
“Volunteering is absolutely doing the best I can with what I have,” said Cindy. “Building community and reaching out person to person is very important to me. There is a support group out there and when you bring those people together, you develop great friendships.”
When she's not volunteering, Cindy likes to unwind by playing a video games. Cindy’s partner, Robert Gruber, is joining her on the cruise.
