I’ve been helping people as a nurse for so long, it seems people just naturally turn to me with questions about healthcare.
Upon retiring as a nurse, Audrey wanted to use her medical background and volunteer in the community. She soon joined the local AARP chapter, becoming the associate lead of the Regional Impact Team, which shares information with AARP chapters throughout the state about healthcare reform and other issues of particular interest to seniors and AARP members. Audrey often speaks at gatherings of seniors about healthcare and the programs available to the elderly, and she uses her extensive nursing knowledge to advise seniors, both individually and at health fairs across the state, about their healthcare options. You can also find Audrey sorting food at the local Food Bank or visiting nursing homes in the area.
